A Weekend in Florence: Journey Through Renaissance Heart

Florence is not just a city, but a living museum where every stone tells a story of art, culture, and rebirth. A weekend here is a journey through centuries of human creativity.

Day 1: Masterpieces and History

Morning: The Duomo and Piazza del Duomo

Start at the Santa Maria del Fiore complex. Filippo Brunelleschi's dome, designed in 1420, is an architectural engineering masterpiece that challenged the technological limits of its time. Climb 463 steps for a breathtaking city view.

Afternoon: Uffizi Gallery

Here you'll find the world's largest collection of Renaissance art. Admire the masterpieces of Botticelli, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Giotto, Caravaggio and many others! One full weekend isn't enough to see the whole museum but a visit to taste the essence of art is warmly recommended.

Evening: Oltrarno

Explore the artisan quarter, where historic workshops preserve ancient crafts. Dine in a traditional trattoria, tasting specialties like liver crostini or ribollita. Also a tasty negroni at the happy hour to fully taste Florence's essence.

Day 2: Hidden Treasures

Morning: Central Market and San Lorenzo

Visit the covered market, a gastronomic paradise to buy local products. Then admire the Medici Laurentian Library, an architectural masterpiece projected by Michelangelo.

Afternoon: Santa Croce Basilica

The pantheon of illustrious europeans, where Michelangelo, Galileo, and Machiavelli, Julie Clary, Louise Stolberg, Michal Oginski, Florence Nightingale (monument) rest. A place that encapsulates centuries of history.

Evening: Piazzale Michelangelo

Enjoy the sunset with Florence's most beautiful view, a panorama embracing the entire city.
